What is Japchae?

Japchae(잡채) is a traditional Korean dish known for its delightful mix of textures and flavors. Made from sweet potato starch noodles, also called dangmyeon, it is typically stir-fried with a colorful array of vegetables, such as carrots, bell peppers, and spinach. The dish often includes sliced beef or tofu, giving it a hearty aspect that many people enjoy. One characteristic of japchae is its slightly sweet and savory taste, often enhanced with sesame oil and soy sauce, making it a favorite among both locals and visitors alike.

Ingredients and Preparation
